Soccer: Balotelli ban cut to two matches

Milan, April 9 - AC Milan and Italy striker Mario Balotelli on Friday got a three-match ban cut to two following an appeal to an Italian Soccer Federation tribunal on Friday. The 22-year-old missed third-placed Milan's matches against second-placed Napoli and leaders Juventus but will now be available for Sunday's game against eighth-placed Catania, The sometimes hot-headed Balotelli, who had been on his best behaviour since joining Milan from Manchester City in the December transfer window, got the ban for verbally abusing a match official at the end of a 2-2 draw at Fiorentina three weeks ago. Ghanaian-Italian Balotelli, who Italy coach Cesare Prandelli says could become one of the top five players in the world, was named Thursday one of Time magazine's 100 most influential global figures.
