Third presidential ballot also inconclusive

Rome, April 19 - The third ballot of Upper and Lower House lawmakers and representatives of Italy's regions to elect the country's new president was inconclusive on Friday, like the two previous votes on Thursday. In the fourth ballot the rules change - a simple majority of 504 is needed to elect a new head of state rather than two-thirds of the 1,007 electors.
