'Gypsy auto-theft gang' caught in Brescia

Brescia, April 12 - Italian police on Friday arrested 11 suspected members of a Gypsy gang allegedly responsible for a string of car and caravan thefts over the past year. Police said the 11 were Sinti, one of the two main Gypsy groups along with Roma. They said the suspected criminals contacted people who had placed ads on the Web to sell cars, camper vans and caravans, and allegedly stole the vehicles when they met up.
