Four arrested in 'Ndrangheta extortion bust

Tropea, April 10 - Police in the southern region of Calabria arrested four people on Wednesday suspected of aggravated extortion and mafia association. The men allegedly extorted substantial sums of money and forced businesses in the resort town of Tropea to hire employees they hand picked. Several of those arrested are suspected of having direct links to the Mancuso di Limbadi clan of the 'Ndrangheta crime syndicate, which is based in Calabria, but operates throughout Italy and Europe.
