Pope Francis receives Ban Ki-moon at Vatican

Vatican City, April 9 - Pope Francis received United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Tuesday at the Vatican. In a statement, Ban said both the Holy See and the UN shared "common ideas and goals" after the 20-minute meeting in the pope's private study. The secretary-general called the visit "a great honor" with "one of the world's spiritual leaders". His entourage included 12 delegates, one of whom oversees the UN's nuclear disarmament plan.
