Boy stabbed to death in fight with fellow teen near Caserta

Rome, April 8 - A 15-year-old boy died early on Monday after being stabbed in the heart by a fellow teen in the southern Italian town of Aversa, near Caserta. Police have arrested a 17-year-old boy who is suspected of the homicide. Four other teens were also injured in the attack, which took place in the early hours of Monday outside a post office and near a pub, although none of them were reported to be in a serious condition. The suspected killer does not have a criminal record and neither did the victim, Emanuele Di Caterino. But the dead boy was a relative of Gaetano Iorio, a member of the infamous Casalesi clan of the Neapolitan Mafia, the Camorra. Two of the injured boys also have relatives linked to organised crime. Police are trying to work out what happened and determine whether the fatal incident broke out for "futile motives" or was linked to some of the boys being related to Camorra members.
