Italian spread stable as ECB says won't touch interest rates

Rome, April 4 - The spread between Italian 10-year bonds and the ultra-safe German equivalent was stable Thursday after the European Central Bank announced interest rates would remain untouched at 0.75%. The spread, a key indicator of Italy's ability to emerge from the euro crisis, was 323 points, down 10 from Wednesday's close. The yield was also down at 4.5%.
