Homicide trial suspended to carry out search for bodies

Turin, April 4 - A homicide trial was interrupted on Thursday in order to permit law enforcement offices to carry out a search for victims' bodies after one of the men that stands accused of the killings told magistrates he could point them to where they were located. Rosario Marando, whose charge is aggravated by his alleged links to organized crime, told magistrates at the Corte d'Assise tribunal during a hearing that he knew where the bodies were. Marando said he could take authorities to the bodies of Antonio and Antonino Stefanelli, as well as Franco Mancuso, who were killed in 1997 in Volpiano, Turin, allegedly as the result of infighting between 'Ndrangheta organized crime groups.
