Rome, April 2 - The Italian House speakers' office said on Tuesday it would cut its spending by 8.5 million euros, including a reduction of 25% for secretarial staff. Slashes will include general expenditures and telephone budgets. House Speaker Laura Boldrini and her Senate counterpart Pietro Grasso announced in March that they would take 30% voluntary pay cuts and give up their government apartments in order to "set an example".
