Police seize alleged 'Ndrangheta property worth millions

Reggio Calabria, April 2 - Police in the southern region of Calabria on Tuesday confiscated property worth 15 million euros allegedly belonging to the local 'Ndrangheta crime syndicate. Investigators ordered the seizure of bank accounts, property and businesses belonging to Matteo Gaietti, allegedly linked to the Nasone-Gaietti clan from the city of Scilla near the region's capital Reggio Calabria. 'Ndrangheta is considered the strongest of all Italian crime groups and is active in northern Italy, Germany and other northern European countries as well as Australia and Canada.
