Spread slips to 340 after long Easter weekend

Rome, April 2 - It was a weak start for the Milan Stock Exchange on Tuesday, post-Easter weekend, and the day new government consultations are set to begin. After opening at 347 basis points, the spread between Italian 10-year bonds and the German benchmark bund slipped to 340 punti, with the yield at 4,7%. The FTSE-Mib dropped by 0.63% weighed down by bank losses.
