Rome mayor hopes new pontiff takes the subway

Rome, March 25 - Rome city mayor Gianni Alemanno said on Monday that he would like to see Pope Francis taking the subway as he did when he was in Buenos Aires. Rome's mass transit company ATAC has honored the new pope by printing one million tickets with his image that can be used for the capital city's buses or metros. "The initiative by ATAC is a way to greet the new pontiff and welcome him to Rome," Alemanno said.
