Locri, March 20 - An Italian policeman killed himself Wednesday inside the general prosecutor's office in the southern city of Locri. Officer Alfredo Modica, 48, shot himself in the heart and died immediately. A husband and father of two, he left behind a note apologizing for his suicide without explaining a motive. He was one of two officers in Italy who killed themselves on Wednesday. A Carabiniere paramilitary officer, Bruno Luraghi, shot himself in the head at a barracks in the northern city of Udine.
