Berlusconi may have to stay overnight in hospital

(see related story) Milan, March 8 - Ex-premier Silvio Berlusconi may have to stay in hospital overnight with an eye problem, his personal doctor said on Friday. Berlusconi went into Milan's San Raffaele hospital on Friday as judges were considering his request to skip a hearing of a trial into allegations he paid for sex with an underage prostitute. The 76-year-old media magnate has uveitis, an irritation and swelling of the uvea, the middle layer of the eye. "It is not to be excluded that Silvio Berlusconi will stay in hospital tonight and tomorrow morning," said Dr. Alberto Zangrillo.
