Naples, February 20 - Police in the southern town of Varcaturo near Naples confiscated three tons of marijuana on Wednesday being cultivated inside a villa and arrested three men. Police said that inside the residence was a full-fledged greenhouse with artificial lighting, heating, ventilation and irrigation for home production of the cannabis to be sold on the black market. A search warrant was issued after neighbors noticed "suspicious and numerous people coming and going" with bags of fertilizer. The villa does not have a garden or yard. The cultivated marijuana was enough for 300,000 "joints", police said.
