Pope 'has done much' for exorcists, says association head

Rome, February 14 - Italy's leading exorcist Father Gabriele Amorth said on Thursday that Pope Benedict XVI "has done many things for exorcists". Amorth, founder and head of the International Association of Exorcists, will be a special guest Friday on an edition of "Vade Retro" dedicated to the outgoing pontiff, aired on the TV2000 religious satellite channel. Benedict was praised by Amorth for "allowing exorcists to administer the sacrament of exorcism not only to people who are suffering from demonic possession, but also those who suffer other evil disorders," such as being plagued by devils and diabolic infestation. The episode will be titled: "Joseph Ratzinger and the Devil. The history of a pontificate and the battle against evil".
