(see related stories) Busto Arsizio, February 12 - Finmeccanica CEO Giuseppe Orsi's lawyer said Tuesday that the decision to arrest the CEO of the defence giant and his counterpart the AgustaWestland helicopter company that it controls was "devastating". "It's a devastating measure because it decapitates two of our country's top companies," the lawyer, Ennio Amodio, said regarding Orsi's arrest and the decision to put AgustaWestland CEO Bruno Spagnolini under house arrest. "He (Orsi) has always worked for the good of the company and the country. "Orsi has never committed any offence and we'll show it". Northern League leader Roberto Maroni, meanwhile, rebutted claims that his party had been instrumental in Orsi being appointed Finmeccanica CEO in May 2011. At the time the League was part of ex-premier Silvio Berlusconi's governing coalition. "Orsi was appointed by the Cabinet (not the League)," Maroni said.
