Vatican City, February 8 - Cardinal Giovanni Cheli, emeritus head of the Pontifical Council for Migrants, has died, Vatican sources said on Friday. Cheli was 94-years-old. The funeral will be held on Saturday at St. Peter's Basilica with Cardinal Angelo Sodano celebrating the mass. Pope Benedict XVI said that the cardinal will be remembered "with gratitude for the valuable and painstaking work he carried out for so many decades".
