Doctors, nurses may be indicted in wrongful death of newborn

Rome, February 7 - The chief of a hospital's natal ward is among eight doctors and nurses who may be indicted in the wrongful death case of a newborn baby in Rome. Prosecutors on Thursday submitted the results of their investigation into the case of Marcus De Vega, a 30-month-old baby who died in San Giovanni hospital in June after he was allegedly administered milk interveneously rather than a saline drip. Accusations also include subsequent cover-ups and falsifying the baby's medical charts.
