Rome, February 4 - Police near the southern city of Caserta arrested a man on Monday who allegedly set fire to the friend of his ex-girlfriend, leaving her in critical condition fighting for her life. Abunsango Michael Olusegun, 43, from Nigeria, reportedly doused the woman with flammable liquid and fled after setting her on fire. He was arrested 12 hours later when he returned to the scene of the crime. The woman was transferred from a Caserta hospital to a Rome intensive care unit with burns on 85% of her body. Police said that Olusegun has a criminal record for credit card fraud and drug dealing.
