New York, January 30 - United States President Barack Obama will host Italian President Giorgio Napolitano at the Oval Office on February 15, the White House announced on Wednesday. The note said the visit was occasioned by the coming end of Napolitano's seven-year term, after a "long and distinguished career" in the service of Italy - a country which is a close ally and friend of the United States. Barack Obama said he was "looking forward" to welcoming President Napolitano "to pay him a farewell salute" and to reinforce the strong and enduring ties between the two countries.
