Soccer: Balotelli arrives, said wanted Milan for 'long time'

(see related story) Milan, January 30 - Mario Balotelli landed in Italy on Wednesday to sign for AC Milan and said he had been yearning for the move. "I wanted to be here for a long time," the 22-year-old forward told Milan channel after landing at the city's Malpensa airport wearing a scarf with his new club's distinctive red-and-black colours. Balotelli, who is moving from English champions Manchester City in a deal worth over 20 million euros, supported Milan as a child but broke through at the senior level with their city rivals Inter. "I hope the fans will love me and I'll try to pay them back and become great together with Milan," he added. The talented, temperamental striker is set to sign a contract that will run until June 2017.
