Soccer: Conte gets two-match ban for insulting officials

Rome, January 28 - Juventus coach Antonio Conte got a two-match ban Monday for insulting officials after Juve's 1-1 home draw with Genoa Saturday. The Italian Soccer Federation's judge said Conte "confronted the referee and an additional referee with a threatening attitude on the field, challenging their management of the game with insulting expressions, which he reiterated shortly afterwards in the dressing room". Conte claimed the ref failed to award his team three penalties. The draw allowed Napoli, 2-1 winners at Parma Sunday, to close the gap on Serie A leaders Juve to three points.
