Soccer: Lazio 'don't have title-bonus budget'

Rome, January 14 - Lazio Chairman Claudio Lotito said the Rome club have not set aside a budget for title bonuses as they are not thinking about winning the Serie A crown and played down speculation that he might sign England midfielder Frank Lampard. Second-placed Lazio moved within three points of leaders Juventus when they beat Atalanta 2-0 on Sunday while the Turin side were held 1-1 at Parma. "I haven't budgeted for title bonuses," Lotito said on Italian radio. He also suggested trying to land Lampard, whose contract with Chelsea expires at the end of this season, is not a priority. "If we sign anyone it also has to work for the balance of the club's finances and the squad" he said. "At the moment there are good relationships between the players and a balance within the locker room".
