Naples turf war gunman caught

Naples, January 7 - Italian police on Monday arrested a suspected Naples Camorra mafia gunman in a resurgent war for drug turf that has reaped 20 victims in the southern Italian city in the last year. Salvatore Esposito, 40, eluded arrest in September when 14 alleged gunmen in his clan including two minors were detained. Police have been cracking down on drug-related violence in Naples since a public outcry in October when a 30-year-old factory worker, Pasquale Romano, was gunned down after being mistaken for a Camorrista. Three of five drug kingpins have been caught and two remain at large.
