Rome, January 4 - Italian caretaker Premier Mario Monti on Friday unveiled the political list with which he plans to run in the lower House of parliament in the upcoming February general elections, adding that he would be joining forces with political allies at the Senate. The former European Union commissioner said the coalition he was running with for the Chamber of Deputies votes would include his list, using the motto 'With Monti for Italy - a Civic Choice', as well as allies the centrist UDC and Futuro Liberta' parties. At a press conference in Rome, he added he was going to run with a single list at the Senate. Monti, who tendered his resignation last month amid waning political support for his emergency technocrat government after 13 months at the helm of the eurozone's third-largest economy, had initially said he was not interested in standing in elections. He had added he planned to back the parties that intended to continue pursuing his economic reforms.
