Italy's lower house approves government development decree

Rome, December 13 - Italy's lower house of parliament on Thursday voted to approve the government's ''development'' decree law. The vote was 261 in favor with 55 opposed and 131 abstentions. The People of Freedom (PdL) party of former Premier Silvio Berlusconi abstained, while the Northern League and the Italy of Values (IdV) party of former Clean Hands prosecutor Antonio Di Pietro voted against.
