(see related stories on political turmoil) Milan, December 7 - Italian Premier Mario Monti took a break from the country's political turmoil on Friday to attend the opening of La Scala's opera season in Milan, where protesters and snow made it a challenge to get into the theatre. The famed Milan opera is inaugurating its new season with Lohengrin by Richard Wagner, conducted by Daniel Barenboim. People arriving, including celebrities, business leaders and several government representatives, were faced with protesters hurling objects at them at the entrance amidst the first heavy snowfall of the winter in the country's business capital. Italy's president and premier are traditionally invited to the annual La Scala gala opening. This year President Giorgio Napolitano is not attending.
