Rome, December 3 - Italian Premier Mario Monti has been elected to the French Academy of Moral and Political Sciences, French President Francois Hollande announced on Monday after a bilateral summit in Lyon. The institution, founded in 1795, is one of five scholarly academies of the Institut de France. Esteemed members include Prince Charles, King Juan Carlos I of Spain and Pope Benedict XVI.
