Man who allegedly set fire to prostitute arrested

Rome, November 29 - Rome police on Thursday arrested a man allegedly responsible for attacking and setting fire to a prostitute last September. The 22-year-old Romanian woman was rescued by a co-worker and taken to Sant'Eugenio hospital in the capital where she is still being treated for third-degree burns on 50% of her body. Police say that the 30-year-old Romanian man believed responsible for the attack is part of a criminal gang involved in a feud over territory in the Roman neighborhood Borghesiana. Police say that the woman who suffered the attack refuses to identify her attacker, making investigations more difficult.
