Rome 'most dangerous city in Europe', says the Times and Sun

London, November 23 - Rome is "the most dangerous city in Europe" for visiting football fans, according to a report in London's The Times newspaper published Friday. The judgement comes after Tottenham Hotspur fans were brutally attacked by a gang of masked ultras while drinking in a central Rome pub on Wednesday evening, the night before Lazio and Tottenham were due to meet for a Europa League match at the city's Olympic Stadium. The Sun newspaper - also part of Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation - instead wrote of a "neo-Nazi attack" by Lazio supporters. One young Briton received serious stab wounds to the groin in the attack and several others were taken to hospital with more minor injuries.
