Ruby not called to Berlusconi procurers' trial

Prosecutors try to speed case against trio of alleged pimps

Ruby not called to Berlusconi procurers' trial

Milan, November 23 - Prosecutors in a trial against three people accused of procuring prostitutes for ex-premier Silvio Berlusconi's bunga bunga parties on Friday said they would not call the central figure, a young alleged prostitute called Ruby, to testify in order to speed proceedings. Prosecutors in a parallel trial where Berlusconi is charged with paying Ruby for sex when she was under age and allegedly getting police to release her from custody on an unrelated theft claim have already decided not to call her. Both Ruby and Berlusconi deny having sex. The three alleged pimps are former Berlusconi TV anchor Emilio Fede, ex-Berlusconi dental hygienist and Lombardy regional Councillor Nicole Minetti, and bankrupt talent scout Lele Mora.
