(ANSA) – Rome, November 22 – A representative of the Hezbollah party is slated to attend the November 24 ceremony at the Vatican in which six new cardinals are to be appointed by the leader of the Catholic Church, Pope Benedict XVI, according to a Fides report on Thursday. The delegate is Ghalib Abu Zeinab, who represents the sciite party and is also responsible for coordinating relations with the Christian world, the missionary news agency said. Amongst the new cardinals to be named by the Pontiff on Saturday is Maronite Patriarch Bechara Boutros Rai, whom Zeinab will pay homage to on behalf of the Hezbollah party.
