Rome, November 16 - Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Italy's lower house of parliament, Gianfranco Fini and the Minister for International Cooperation and Integration Andrea Riccardi were among the 'list of Italian delinquents' drawn up by the Italy branch of the neo-Nazi group Stormfront, whose website was shut down on Friday. Other personalities on the group's 'blacklist' included the President of Rome's Jewish community Riccardo Pacifici, Rome city mayor Gianni Alemanno, journalists Gad Lerner and Maurizio Costanzo, the mayor of Padua Flavio Zanonato and several members of the judiciary. They had been targeted for allegedly "helping immigrants by carrying out criminal acts and deriving economic gain" according to the anti-Semitic and white supremacist group. Riccardi and Alemanno were among those to congratulate magistrates and the postal police on Friday's operation to shut down the Italian Stormfront website and arrest four alleged members of the group. "No-one must hope to seek refuge and impunity in the internet," said Riccardi. "Now, as I have been saying for some time, it is necessary to refine the law to allow even more stringent controls to be carried out".
