Rome, November 30 - A source close to the ILVA steel plant told ANSA on Wednesday that the company's EBITDA at year's end would be an "improvement" on 2015, which closed at negative 546 million euros. The company has boosted production and is benefiting from increased steel prices. It is expected to close 2016 with a total of 5.9 million tonnes of steel produced, a net increase compared to 2015 with 4.7 million tonnes. ILVA's huge Taranto plant is going through an expensive environmental clean-up and turnaround.
