Rome, October 19 - Francesco Boccia, the head of the Lower House budget committee, on Wednesday called for changes to the government's voluntary disclosure plan, saying cash should not be included in the undeclared assets held abroad that people can bring back into Italy if they pay the taxes due. "If they do what has been announced, parliament will inevitably change it," Boccia said, dismissing the government's assertion that the move does not amount to an amnesty. "Any laundering of undeclared money is an amnesty," he said. "We lose out in ethical terms and we don't give the right message to young people".
