Soccer: Milan CEO denies meeting Guardiola's entourage

Milan, November 7 - AC Milan Chief Executive Adriano Galliani reiterated on Wednesday that he has not met with Pep Guardiola's entourage for talks on bringing the former Barcelona boss to Italy. "Reports of me meeting relatives or agents of Pep Guardiola continue even though I denied this yesterday," Galliani said. "I reiterate that I have never met any of these people and I challenge anyone to prove the opposite". Guardiola's brother Pere and his assistant Manuel Estiarte were seen in Milan on Tuesday. Milan have made a poor start to the season and coach Massimiliano Allegri is likely to be offloaded at the end of it, if he makes it that far, according to media reports. Club owner Silvio Berlusconi has reportedly set his heart on luring Guardiola in the hope that he can usher in a new era of success for the seven-time European champions. Barcelona won three Liga titles, two Champions League crowns and two FIFA Club World Cups, among other honours, during a glorious stint under their former player Guardiola between 2008 and 2012.
