(ANSA) – Lampedusa, October 31 – Ninety people were placed under investigation on Wednesday for possibly constructing buildings illegally in the southern Italian island of Lampedusa. Police in the probe seized a number of buildings, including a villa owned by Italian pop star Claudio Baglioni through a company called Cala Creta. Baglione is not among those being probed, according to sources. Warrants were issued by preliminary investigations magistrate Albero Davico at the request of prosecutors Ignazio Fonzo and Luca Sciarretta. The investigation is focussing on possibile building violations carried out on the Sicilian island over the past 40 years.
