Court rules Fiat discriminated against union workers

Turin, October 29 - A court in the southern Italian town of Termoli ruled against automaker Fiat for anti-union behavior, announced the left-wing union FIOM - which won the verdict - on Monday. FIOM said the decision marked the second time the court had ruled against FIAT for "having applied different economic treatment for compensation to FIOM member workers (resulting in) a salary loss of 300 euros per month".
