Soccer: Allegri not quitting despite Milan meltdown

Milan, October 25 - AC Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri has said he has no thoughts of quitting even though his side's dreadful form continued with a 1-0 defeat at Malaga in the Champions League on Wednesday. It was the third consecutive defeat in all competitions for the seven-time European champions, who are joint third-bottom in Serie A with seven points from eight games, 15 points behind leaders Juventus. "No, it's not part of my character," Allegri, whose side are second in Champions League Group C with four points from three games, told Sky television when asked if he was thinking of resigning. "This is a very evenly balanced group and the side will recover in the (Italian) championship. After the performances we have given, I can be optimistic". Many sports pundits believe the coach will be fired if his side lose again against Genoa in Serie A on Saturday. "Let's hope that the music changes on Saturday and we have better luck," said Allegri.
