Workers protesting in Naples threaten to jump from building

Naples, October 22 - Approximately 50 workers in the southern city of Naples have threatened to jump from the balcony of the provincial government building where they are protesting, authorities said on Monday. One man cut himself with an unidentified sharp object over a pay dispute with the government consortium for refuse and recycling processing where the demonstrators are employed. The workers said they have not been paid for months.
