Palermo, October 19 - A 17-year old girl was killed in the southern Italian city of Palermo on Friday and her 18-year old sister was taken to a local hospital to be treated for severe knife injuries after the two were attacked in the hallway of the building where they both lived. Lucia Petrucci is currently being treated for "code red" injuries at the Civico hospital in Sicily. Her sister Carmela lost her life in the knife attack. The survivor allegedly gave the police that helped transport her to hospital the name of the killer, who is reportedly an acquaintance. The two were found by police inside the building in via Uditore, in Palermo, lying in a pool of blood. The law enforcement officers had been called about an argument by a neighbour in the building. The motive behind the double assault is not yet clear.
