(ANSA) - Rome, October 19 - One in four Italian families is in financial difficulty, 3% up on 20111, because of the euro crisis and recession, farmers' association Coldiretti said Friday. Almost half of Italian households, 48%, think the situation will get worse. Two out of three Italians are cutting waste at the dinner table. Some 51% of households are managing to make essential payments, without splashing out on extras, while 8% can't even afford the basics, Coldiretti said. About 40% of households are not feeling the pinch and 1% buys luxury goods.
