(ANSA) - Milan, October 12 - Italian Premier Mario Monti said Friday that Expo 2015 in Milan will offer a chance for economic recovery in the recession-hit country. "It's an exceptional opportunity for economic recovery," he told an international participants meeting. "Of course we will not be passive in leading up to the event". Also known as the World's Fair, Expo 2015 is expected to bring in over 30 million visitors with the theme 'Feed the Planet, Energy For Life,' devoted to fighting world hunger. It runs for six months between May 1 to October 31, 2015, showcasing goods, culture and innovation in a non-commercial setting. So far more than 100 countries have signed up. "We are sure that the trust you invest in Italy and in the theme will not be let down," said Monti.
