(ANSA) - Naples, October 8 - Napoli defender Salvatore Aronica has apologised to a journalist after assaulting him following his side's 2-1 win over Udinese on Sunday. Aronica had a row with the reporter in the interview 'mixed zone' at Naples San Paolo Stadium after the game and the argument got so bad-tempered that the player ended up elbowing him. The 34-year-old contacted the reporter afterwards to say sorry. The row was reportedly caused by negative comments the reporter made about Aronica on television shows and on his Facebook profile. Sunday's win meant Napoli stayed joint top of Serie A with champions Juventus with 19 points from seven games.
