(ANSA) - Rome, October 2 - Finance police on Tuesday seized over 200 marijuana plants growing in a nature reserve near Rome. The cannabis crop, weighing over 35 kg and with an estimated street value of 350,000 euros, was found in the 'Foce dell'Arrone' oasis in Fregene on the Lazio coast run by the Italian chapter of the international environmental organisation WWF. The nature reserve provided ideal growing conditions and good cover for the plants, investigators said. They are now trying to identify those responsible for the crop.
