iPhone 5 hits Italy

(ANSA) - Rome, September 28 - The new iPhone 5 hit Italy Friday as buyers rushed into stores after queuing overnight or even longer - as in Bologna where eager Apples fans had been camped out for two days. The lines were mostly "disciplined", local media reported, and the product was snapped up despite a price tag of 729 euros, a sign that phones are one of the few consumer goods holding strong despite Italy's worsening recession.
