(ANSA) – Rome, September 18 – Italy was bracing for another bout of bad weather on Tuesday with the expected arrival of another low-pressure system in northern parts of the country by the end of the day. 'Cloe' – this is the name of the weather system - is expected to bring storms and heavy rainfall that will move gradually southwards during the course of Wednesday as far as Tuscany, Umbria, northern Lazio and Marche. Rainstorms are expected in Rome on Wednesday afternoon. However once again it is the northeastern region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, and particularly the provinces of Udine, Gorizia and Trieste, that will bear the brunt of the bad weather, which is expected to improve towards the end of the week. Cloe will be the third serious bout of bad weather to hit Italy since the start of September.
