(ANSA) - Rome, September 18 - Almost eight out of 10 Italian high-school teachers have been seen by their students smoking in "various parts" of their schools, a new study said Tuesday. According to the study, 3% were seen smoking in class. The survey by Senator and liver surgeon Ignazio Marino's I-Think research group said one in two middle-school teachers smoked at school, compared to 77% of high-school teachers. It also said 82% of high-school students and 51% of middle-school students had seen their schoolmates smoking at school. Almost nine out of 10 high-school students admitted to smoking marijuana, while 28% of middle-school students did so. Italian students go to middle school from the ages of 10-11 to 13-14 and high school from 14-15 to 18-19.
