(ANSA) - Rome, September 17 - Italian weekly magazine Chi on Monday published topless photos of the Duchess of Cambridge while she was on holiday in southern France with her husband Prince William, the second in line to the British throne. The publication comes on the day that lawyers representing the British royal family will be in court in Paris to sue French magazine Closer for invading the couple's privacy by publishing the images first last week and to seek an injunction against them being printed again. Both the French version of Closer and Chi belong to Mondadori, a publishing group owned by former Italian premier Silvio Berlusconi. Mondadori CEO Marina Berlusconi, the ex-premier's daughter, said at the weekend that the publisher was merely "doing its job" by printing the shots. Marina Berlusconi said her father was not consulted over the decision to publish the photos, adding that he had more pressing political matters to see to.
